We are pleased to announce that Do You Look LikeTM Your Dog was published by Broadway Books, a division of Random House, in January 2004, though the book is not related to the contest. We are now seeking photos for the next book.
The book has been getting a great response from the media, including appearances on Good Morning America, radio interviews, and newspaper and magazine features. We've created a PR section where you can see some of these clips.
Plans for the 1st International Do You Look LikeTM Your Dog Contest are still underway. We have changed the contest deadline to December 15, 2004, so we can coordinate this with the planned Do You Look Like Your Dog Game and Reality Show and plans for the next book.
We are still seeking sponsors to donate prizes for the contest winners and entrants and are promoting them by featuring their prizes, along with links to their sites on our online Bark and Buy store.
Additionally, we are offering the first of our Do You Look Like Your Dog products, which include customized T-shirts and and album of dog songs. More products coming soon.
We are also working on a number of spin-off projects, such as calendars, postcards, and posters, and participating in Do You Look Like Your Dog contests at other events, such as a recent Smooch with Your Pooch Valentine Day's Dance February 14.
Plans for a Do You Look LikeTM Your Dog Game/Reality TV Show are moving ahead, too. We are working on a pilot with Indigo Films in San Rafael, California. For details see the press release and flyer describing the game show.
In case you are wondering about the "TM" in our name, that's because we are now seeking a trademark for this and our related sites, which now include -- Do You Look Like Your Cat, Your Mate, and Your Lover -- and have started to get in our first photos. They're at: www.doyoulooklikeyourlover.com
So please continue to send in your photos for the contest and for consideration for the book and TV reality/game show to be based on these sites. Another site in the works, but not yet online, is Do You Look Like Your Pet?
Another development is a series of Do You Look Like Your Dog art pieces, which range from 18"x24" to 30"x 40" framed works. These are being entered in art gallery exhibitions, such as one piece featuring 60 entries received from around the world. Just click below to see it. |

We also started a research project comparing the owners of different types of dogs (starting with Pomeranians and Siberian Huskies), and have done research on communities of dog owners and organizations on the Internet. You can see details at the new World of Dogs Web site devoted to this research.
Plus we have launched a new workshop series: What Kind of Dog Are You? It's a fun way to better understand yourself and others and improve relationships at work and in your personal life. It makes a great social mixer, too. We have a book based on this program, too, which will be out next year with Basilico in Japan. For more details on a program for your group, see What Kind of Dog Are You Workshops. You can even hear the What Kind of Dog Are You? song at the site.
And visit the other sections of our Web site. |
