 surveys and research projects

Here's where we'll be posting information about research results on topics such as: Why do people look like their dogs or choose the dogs they do? What's the relationship between the personality of owners and their dogs? And are there differences between the owners of different dogs and their interests, activities, and lifestyles?

So far, two studies are in the works, with results to be posted here.  We also welcome suggestions for other research results and we'll post the studies, reviews, or links. 

The studies under development are:

• A Comparison of the Owners of Two Very Different Breeds of Dogs: Owners of Pomeranians and Siberian Huskies
  (for a class on Advanced Ethnographic Methods at Cal State, Hayward)

• An Ethnography of the Communities of Dog Owners and Enthusiasts on the Internet
  (for a class on Anthropology on the Internet at Cal State, Hayward)
